The spring season brings new directions at Oil Gallery with "Oil Goes Abstract," a show of new abstract and atmospheric work opening on Historic Third Ward Gallery Night, Friday, April 22. Resident artist Richard Patt (see below for updated inventory) will show new abstract takes on his renowned agrarian landscapes, and we'll be debuting amazing work by Elm Grove artist Catie Rynkiewicz and her fellow veteran artist and daughter-in-law Karen Lindholm-Rynkiewicz. Also new in the gallery are just-finished multimedia and found-object pieces by Milwaukee artist John Lottes.
Visit Oil in the first-floor atrium of the Marshall Building from 5 to 9 p.m. on Gallery Night and again from noon to 4 the next day on Gallery Saturday, April 23. The show will run until our early July break, after which we'll reopen with some exciting new gallery features in the works. Contact gallery owner Robert Schwoch at robert.schwoch@gmail.com or Richard at rpatt@wi.rr.com to arrange a mutually-agreed time to see the current display of paintings in person.
We hope you'll come see the new work blooming at Oil for spring!
